“My goal when working with my patients is to help them learn the skill sets needed to be able to help themselves after they leave therapy. I feel that my job is to really work myself out of a job, so to speak. I strive to help someone learn about themself and to help them learn to make the changes needed for them to be able to function more the way they would like. I'm like a "gardener" in that I help people in choosing the "seeds" they want to "plant" and teach them the skills and insight to help those seeds grow.”
