“I strive to provide evidence-based management of surgical diseases with the compassion and dedication that each patient deserves. I enjoy having a thorough discussion of disease and treatment options with all patients. I understand that each individual has a unique experience with their health and in healthcare systems, and my greatest satisfaction is knowing that my patient and I have collaborated to find the best quality-of-life option when faced with a surgical problem.”

Riverview Health

About this provider:

I chose to practice general surgery because of the breadth of services I’m able to provide to my patients. From emergency surgery to elective outpatient procedures and cancer operations, I am proud to be able to take my patients from start to finish of what can be some of their most challenging times. I am also willing to take as much time as needed to discuss sensitive issues and treatment options for each unique situation.

I am a well-rounded general surgeon with special interest in breast cancer, colon cancer, and minimally invasive surgery. I am committed to providing patients with the most up-to-date treatment options for their diagnosis and offer services for screening, diagnosis and surveillance of disease. I chose to practice at Riverview Health because of the collaborative nature of the health system. This environment truly helps surgeons deliver excellent, multi-talented and efficient care for patients.

Originally a native of Kansas City, Missouri, I have found home in Indiana during the past decade. I was a part of the second graduating class at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine and continued my residency training in general surgery at Ascension St. Vincent. My family and I are an active bunch with young children who love soccer, good food and getting our amazing labrador-mix out for a hike. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading historical nonfiction, traveling and training for triathlons.
