Dr. Ginther is board-certified and fellowship-trained in orthopedic surgery and uses computer-assisted technology in his knee replacements. He helped develop Exactech Guided Personalized Surgery (GPS) for knee replacements and is one of only a few surgeons in the nation using this sophisticated technology. The GPS technology provides real-time laser guidance for more accurate alignment and sizing. Dr. Ginther also uses the Signature System for total knee replacements.
Dr. Ginther uses the direct anterior surgical approach for total hip replacements. As a consultant for Zimmer Biomet, he teaches this approach to visiting surgeons and at national labs. This surgical approach is less invasive, does not cut muscle and has the lowest dislocation rate for total hip replacements.
