Renovations Coming to Riverview
June 5th 2012 -

Coming Soon: Added Convenience and Stream-lined Care

Over the next few months, some changes will start to take place at Riverview. Among them, relocation of some high volume services and a stream-lined registration process.

In Phase 1, the Outpatient Lab will be relocating to a newly renovated space in the Emergency Center wing of the hospital. The Outpatient Lab sees the highest number of individual patients of any department in the hospital; as a result, its current location is increasingly insufficient for the number of patients we have, particularly during high volume times. This location will offer convenient parking and access to registration, as well as place lab patients close to Radiology and other departments they may also be visiting.

This will lead to Phase 2 and the relocation of patient registration to the Emergency Center wing. This will allow patients to enter and register in an area immediately adjacent to most of the services they would utilize in the hospital. Parking will be reconfigured to accommodate increased traffic through this area.

Lastly, Phase 3 will see adjustments to have Entrance #9 become a visitor entrance.

The renovation process will begin in early summer with a Fall 2012 completion goal. Watch the Riverview website (riverview.org), Facebook and Twitter for construction updates, photos and information on the project.
