Christmas night 2006, I was nestled all snug in my bed,
while visions of sugar-plums danced in my head. 
Then, I received the call no one wants to receive.  My Dad was being rushed to Riverview and I
needed to come right away.  He underwent
a triple bi-pass surgery, was diagnosed as a diabetic, and later that week had
a stent implanted.  I am so thankful to
Riverview because the Cardiac team saved my Dad’s life.

Each year millions of families like mine are affected by heart
disease – through heart attack, congestive heart failure, vascular disease, or
stroke. In fact, you may be surprised to learn that the number one killer in Hamilton County is heart disease. Here are some
