Rehabilitation Services
Riverview Hospital offers a variety of rehabilitation services for bone, muscle and joint related injuries and surgeries.
RehabCare (Inpatient Rehabilitation)
Our 24 bed RehabCare unit is located on the 3rd floor of the main hospital. A multi-disciplinary team of professionals will work with you and your family on a care plan that best meets your unique needs. RehabCare is specifically designed to meet the needs of patients recovering from stroke or other traumatic injury, or from specific types of surgeries such as joint replacement.
Each patient is evaluated upon referral. A customized rehabilitation plan is developed to help the patient develop the skills needed to live as independently as possible after leaving the hospital. Rehabilitation will address physical and/or medical problems, difficulties with daily living activities, and any special problems related to feeding, communication, attention and self-care.
Successful rehabilitation requires a healthy reintegration of the individual and family into the home and community. Our facility includes a private dining room, transitional apartment, kitchen and laundry area to teach real-life skills prior to discharge. In addition, our physical therapy gym is equipped for therapy and recreation. To arrange a tour, call 317-776-7911 or email info@riverview.org.
