Profile in Philanthropy

Build the foundation, create a legacy, and teach future generations philanthropy.
Dick and Margaret Gordon understand the meaning of philanthropy and are passionate about Riverview Hospital. Mr. Gordon has been involved with the Foundation for almost 10 years acting as council member, board chair, philanthropist and supporter. During his term, he played an instrumental role in moving the foundation forward with many great ideas and founded the Gordon Brick Layer Giving Club. Although Dick is no longer on the board, he still remains active today.
The Riverview Hospital Foundation introduced Footprints, a new giving club to the Brick Layer Giving Club, inspired by Mr. Gordon. The Footprints Giving Club is comprised of individuals that make a one-time gift of $1000 in honor of each child or grandchild. The gift demonstrates the importance of generational philanthropy. Also, the gifts will continue to build the foundation and a legacy in our community for excellent healthcare at Riverview Hospital for years to come.
Those individuals that make a donation in honor of each child or grandchild will receive his/her name and the names of the children or grandchildren on the donor Wall of Honor in the Hospital’s atrium. There is not an age limit for recognition of your children or grandchildren.
In April the Riverview Hospital Foundation hosted an Annual Brick Layer Dinner Recognition event to thank our donors. During the evening, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon presented the Foundation with a $15,000 check in honor of each grandchild. This act of kindness kicked off the Footprints Giving Club with a bang! Dick and Margaret, the Foundation is very thankful for your continued support and dedication to Riverview Hospital.
