Community Health Clinic
This community service was established in 1993 to provide health care services to those residents who need primary health care and prenatal care. The Clinic is designed to provide healthcare for individuals aged 1 through 100 (give or take), with or without insurance, and Medicare and Medicaid recipients.
Riverview Community Health clients must meet the following guidelines:
- Reside in Hamilton County or surrounding area
- Receive Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance, or have no insurance
For those who are without insurance and are self pay, you must provide information for a sliding fee scale in order to qualify for a discount.
Payment of Services
Clients with no insurance will be billed for Clinic services according to their level of income. Clients may choose to pay by cash or check.
Each client is seen by a certified Nurse Practitioner who has undergone training in primary health care and is qualified to provide care to both adults and children. The Nurse Practitioner is supervised by a board certified family physician that is on site periodically during office hours to consult with the Nurse Practitioner and see clients with more serious problems.
A local podiatrist is available on a monthly basis to see Riverview Community Health Clinic clients for evaluation and treatment if necessary. Podiatrists, physicians who specialize in the care of the foot, may treat infections of the toenails, foot pain, or bone abnormalities.
Riverview Community Health Clinic offers prenatal services in direct connection with area obstetricians. Non high risk clients will be seen at the Clinic until 28 weeks of pregnancy and then transferred to the obstetrician who will deliver the baby. The obstetrician also is available for patient questions and concerns.
You may make appointments by calling the Clinic at 317-776-1071 during business hours. A Nurse Practitioner is on call Wednesday during the day until the office opens at 4pm and may be reached by calling Riverview Hospital at 317-773-0760 and asking to have the Nurse Practitioner paged. At times when the office is closed physician partners are on call for Clinic patients.
