Riverview Hospital is home to some of the most advanced diagnostic technology available. The radiology department is conveniently located directly across the hall from the Cancer Center offering great accessibility during diagnosis and follow up screenings.

PET/CT has been described as the world’s most advanced tool in the fight against cancer. This test assists the physicians in quickly determining whether a patient has cancer, if it has spread, whether the treatment is working, or if the cancer has returned.

PET/CT brings both PET (Positron Emission Tomography) and CT (computerized tomography) images together with just one machine to pinpoint the exact location and extent of a patient’s cancer, allowing our physician team to develop the most effective treatment plan possible – and giving patients the best chance of beating cancer.
