Jon Finley, MD

Board Certified Sleep Specialist

Board Certified Neurologist

 

Dr. Finley is a staff physician at the Riverview Hospital Sleep/Wake Disorders Center. Dr. Finley obtained his bachelor's degree from Wabash College. He then attended the Indiana University School of Medicine, where he obtained his medical degree. Dr. Finley completed his internship in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis. He completed his residency in Neurology at the Indiana University School of Medicine and later his fellowship in Neuromuscular Disease at the Indiana Universiry School of Medicine.  Dr. Finley is Board Certified in Neurology and practices with Neurology Associates ,Inc. in Noblesville, IN.

 

 

Joseph Kern, MD

Co-Medical Director of the Center

Board Certified Pulmonologist

Board Certified Sleep Specialist

 

Dr. Kern is co-medical director of the Riverview Hospital Sleep/Wake Disorders Center and Medical Director of the Riverview Hospital Respiratory Care and Critical Care Departments. Dr. Kern is an associate of Respiratory and Critical Care Consultants in Indianapolis. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Biology and Hospital Administration before obtaining his masters degree in Anatomic Pathology (Pulmonary) from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He was awarded with the Perdue-Fredrick Award for Excellence in Medical Research by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

 

Dr. Kern then obtained his M.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. His post-graduate work as a resident and intern in Internal Medicine were completed at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center. His fellowships in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine were obtained at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, where he was a Major in the U.S. Army Medical Corps.

 

Dr. Kern's certifications include the Americal Board of Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Kern is a member of the American College of Physicians, American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

 

 

Michael Levine, MD

Co-Medical Director of the Center

Board Certified Sleep Specialist

Board Certified Neurologist

 

Dr. Levine is a co-medical director of the Riverview Hospital Sleep/Wake Disorders Center and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Sleep Medicine. He received his bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Illinois and completed his post-graduate studies in medicine at the University of Illinois. Dr. Levine completed his internship in Medicine at the Illinois Masonic Medical Center and later his residency in Neurology at the University of Illinois. Dr. Levine completed fellowships in Neurophysiology and Sleep Medicine at the University of Iowa.

 

Dr. Levine now practices in Noblesville and is an associate of Neurology Associates, Inc. Dr. Levine is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and is a Board Certified Neurologist.

 

Sarah Cookman, RRT/RCP/RPSGT

 

Sarah is the Coordinator of the Riverview Hospital Sleep/Wake Disorders Center. Sarah obtained her bachelor's degree in Theology at the University of Evansville and received a certificate of completion in Sleep Medicine from the Alabama School of Sleep Medicine. She obtained her degree in Respiratory Therapy from California College for Health Sciences. Sarah is also a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care and is a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technology. She is a licensed Respiratory Care Practicioner in the State of Indiana. Sarah is responsible for all clinical activities in the Sleep/Wake Disorders Center and oversees the technical staff of the center.

 

Sarah is a member of the American Association of Sleep Technology and the American Associaton of Respiratory Care.

 

Verna Bowling, CRT/RCP/RPSGT

Verna is the CPAP specialist for the Sleep/Wake Disorders Center. Verna obtained her AS degree in Respiratory Care from Ivy Tech State College and a certificate in Sleep Medicine from the School of Sleep Medicine at Stanford University. Verna is responsible for mask fittings, troubleshooting CPAP issues, CPAP clinics and CPAP set-ups.

 

Verna is a member of the Americal Association of Sleep Technologists and the American Association of Respiratory Care. Verna is a Certified Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Sleep Medicine, a Registered Polysomnography Technologist by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technology and is a licensed Respiratory Care Practicioner from the State of Indiana.
