Your first step to a good night’s sleep

Sleep is essential for the human body to function physically and mentally. When you do not consistently sleep well, it can take a severe toll on on your health. Approximately 40 million people in the United States suffer from chronic long-term sleep disorders each year and an additional 20 million people suffer occasional sleep problems.

You Are Not Alone

If you are having trouble getting to sleep or staying asleep, there may be a medical explanation, and you are far from alone. In most cases, sleep disorders can be easily managed once they are properly diagnosed. Your first step to a good night's sleep starts at the Riverview Hospital Sleep Wake Disorders Center.

Getting Started

With a referral from a family physician or specialist, Riverview's specialized medical team will perform an evaluation to determine if an individual has a sleep or wake disorder. Our team then assists patients with solutions to help them get much-needed rest.

Our Center, accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, offers a wide range of studies which are performed on an outpatient basis with patient convenience in mind. We perform sleep studies during the day and night in a comfortable atmosphere. Patients simply visit the clinic at a scheduled time, and go to sleep. While they sleep, monitors are used to track their sleep patterns.

Services

  • Sleep study evaluations (day and night), including pediatric sleep studies for ages 4-18.
  • Treatments for a wide variety of sleep and wake disorders, from sleep apnea to insomnia to narcolepsy and more.
  • Indiana Department of Transportation evaluations for truck drivers or other transportation workers
  • CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) machine clinics to assist patients with mask fittings and equipment education
