Imaging Services

When most people think of having pictures taken at a hospital they think of X-rays. Although X-ray or Radiology is a large part of any imaging department, there are many other modalities that make up the Imaging Department.

Approximately 20 technologists and seven clerical staff work to keep Radiology open 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Riverview has two general X-ray rooms, one digital fluoroscopy room, three portable machines, and two mobile fluoroscopy C-arms. Typical exams include portable X-rays, fluoroscopy work for GI exams, exams performed in surgery, and emergency patient exams
