Remote Applications

Riverview Hospital employees and some vendors may access specific internal applications remotely from external resources using their home computer, tablet, or smartphone.

About Riverview Apps

Employees with permission may access applications remotely by using our Citrix XenApp environment via https://apps.riverview.org/.








How to Access Riverview Apps from a Computer

Using a computer that is connected to the internet, open Internet Explorer and navigate to https://apps.riverview.org/. Enter your Riverview Hospital domain credentials and click Log On.












If prompted to download or upgrade your client, agree to the Citrix license agreement and select Download.









When prompted to Run or Save the client, select Run and your browser will automatically download and install the Citrix Receiver.












After a successful installation of the Citrix Receiver, your browser will display a list of applications you have permission to access. Select the application you wish to remotely access.

How to Access Riverview Apps from a Mobile Device

Citrix makes a free version of its Citrix Reciver client for Android, Blackberry, Chromebook, iPad, iPhone, Kindle Fire, Windows Mobile, and many more devices. Visit http://www.citrix.com/receiver/ or your devices' "app store" to download a version specific to your device.



iOS (iPhone/iPad) Example

Launch the iOS App Store, search for the Citrix Receiver, and click Install.











After the application is download and installed, tap on the Citrix icon to launch the Citrix Receiver mobile application.











In Citrix Receiver, select Add Account.











Enter apps.riverview.org as the Address.











Enter your Riverview Hospital username and password. Enter riverview.local as the Domain. Tap Next.











The Citrix Receiver will create your account, log you in, and present a list of applications that you have permission to access. Select the application you wish to launch.











The application will be streamed down to your mobile device.











If you require Keyboard, Pointer, or other navigational tools, tap on the pull-down shade at the top of your screen.











In this example we seleted Keyboard so we can enter our credentials into this application.











Android (phone/tablet) Example

Launch your preferred App Store, search for the Citrix Receiver, and click Open/Install.











After the application is downloaded and installed, tap on the Citrix icon to launch the Citrix Receiver mobile application.











Select "Set up my enterprise apps."











Enter apps.riverview.org as the Server address.

Server should be https://apps.riverview.org. User Name should be your Riverview Hospital username.











Domain should be riverview.local. Description may be anything you desire. Tap Add.

Tap on your new account to login.











Input your Riverview Hospital password.











Select the application you wish to remotely access.











Make a note of the Gestures. For example, you will need to know that a three-finger tap will launch the keyboard.












Perform a three-finger tap to enter your application-specific login credentials.

Permission to access resources remotely must be prearranged by your manager and the Information Systems department.

Have your manager contact the House Supervisor at (317) 461-5515 to page a member of the Information Systems department.
